Brevard Parks
and Recreation
Manages a growing park system that covers over
5,579 acres and includes 108 developed parks and 3 golf courses, as well as
sanctuaries and preserves. The Parks and Recreation Department's website
offers residents and visitors a place to discover the unique features and
recreational opportunities available throughout our parks.

Friends of the Mims/Scottsmoor Community Library Center, Inc.
Dedicated to promote the welfare and growth of the Mims/Scottsmoor Public
Library, to enrich its resources, to make its services and also its needs
known to the community, and to stimulate gifts and donations.
Merritt Island
National Wildlife Refuge
The coastal location of MINWR, seven distinct
habitat types, and position between the subtropic and temperate climatic
zones, contribute to the refuge's importance as a major wintering area for
migratory birds. Over 500 species of wildlife inhabit the refuge with 15 being
listed as federally threatened or endangered. Several wading bird rookeries,
10 active bald eagle nests, numerous osprey nests, up to 400 manatees during
spring months, and an estimated 2,500 Florida scrub jays can be found on the
refuge.
Canaveral National
Seashore
Canaveral National Seashore
is on a barrier island which includes ocean, beach, dune, hammock, lagoon,
salt marsh, and pine flatland habitats. The park has two districts and
the Seminole Rest Site. The North District is in Volusia County, near New
Smyrna Beach, Florida. Seminole Rest is also located in Volusia County in Oak
Hill, Florida. The South District, in Brevard County is near Titusville,
Florida.

Animal Care and Adoption Center
We
are one of the centers operated by Brevard County Animal Services and
Enforcement. We are committed to building lifelong bonds between people and
animals through education, community outreach programs and the prevention of
cruelty.

SATOP
NASA-funded Space Alliance Technology Outreach
Program makes available the expertise of the US Space Program to small
businesses. Designed to speed the transfer of space-program technology to the
private sector, SATOP provides free engineering assistance to small businesses
with technical challenges through the donations of time and expertise from 34
space-alliance partners.
Space Coast Economic
Development Commission
Provides a complete development program, striving
to attract new industry to the North Brevard/Titusville area. Additionally,
the SEDC provides assistance to firms that are already doing business here.
SPCA of
North Brevard
Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of North Brevard, Inc. is a
non profit organization dedicated to placing our animals in good and loving
homes, to prevent cruelty to animals and to educate the public on care,
spaying and neutering of animals. We are located at 455 Cheney Hwy,
Titusville, Fl. 32780, phone number is (321) 267-8221. We also have a low cost
spay/neuter and wellness clinic on site, that number is (321) 269-0536. Our
veterinarian is Dr. Jim Vance.
